OUR MISSION
“To be a leading child care initiator that creates self-esteem among the women, needy, disabled and the orphan children for community development.”
OUR VISION
“To improve the social and economic welfare of the women, needy, disabled and orphan children to transform communities”
We are based in Ruboni village on the foothills of Rwenzori mountains, Kasese District, Uganda. As well as Ruboni village, we also work with the communities of neighboring Mihunga, Nyakabugha, Kinyuku and Kyahundu. The area is populated by Bakonjo tribe that settled here 300 years ago. The main source of income for local people is farming, labour in agriculture, coffee production and tourism.
“My name is Isaac Kule and I am the Founder of Rwenzori Child Care Initiative. I started this project in
2012 with the aim of helping the community in which I grew up. Seeing the children achieving their dreams and getting out from the circle of poverty gives me the sense.”
